Książka Altered Art "Morskie Opowieści"/ Altered Book "Tales of the Sea"

W tematach morskich czuję się jak przysłowiowa ryba w wodzie, były już u mnie szkatułki wyłowione z dna oceanu, była kotwica, półka z morskimi skarbami i butelka. Jednak ile można tych morskich prac robić ;) Jednak instagramowe wyzwanie na profilu nomadicsouldiaries plus oczywiście jedna z najnowszych kolekcji 13arts "Travel the World" sprawiły, że podjęłam się wykonania kolejnego projektu altered art z motywem morskim. 

In marine subjects, I feel like the fish in the water, I have already made boxes from the bottom of the ocean, an anchor, a shelf with sea treasures and a bottle. However, how many of these sea themed works can be done;) However, the instagram challenge on the nomadicsouldiaries profile plus of course one of the latest 13arts collections "Travel the World" made me to do another altered art project with a nautical theme.

Bazą mojego projektu było pudełko w kształcie księgi po pewnym trunku, które przeleżało kilka lat w mojej pracowni. Ale przyszła na nie pora :) Najbardziej zadowolona jestem z grzbietu, który w zamyśle miał imitować grzbiet starej, skórzanej oprawy ze zdobieniami. Myślę, że wyszło całkiem fajnie. Do ozdobienia grzbietu wykorzystałam odciski z żywicy, wyjęte z formy przed całkowitym zastygnięciem, tak bym mogła je dowolnie ukształtować.

The base of my project was a book-shaped box from a drink, which lay there for several years in my studio. But the time has come for them :) I am most satisfied with the ridge, which was intended to imitate the ridge of an old, leather binding with ornaments. I think it turned out pretty cool. To decorate the ridge, I used resin casts, removed from the mold before it completely solidified, so that I could shape them freely.
